Buckingham Foundation works to initiate and implement positive change in communities tied to Buckingham Companies. We strive to make a difference where our employees work, our residents live and in the communities we build.
The Alexander hotel has served as a satellite kitchen for Second Helpings since late March, now the effort has expanded to offer free accommodations for Indianapolis-area medical workers, including doctors, nurses, and first responders.
Buckingham Foundation has a philanthropic focus on the communities in which Buckingham Companies has a presence and is taking additional steps to help those in need during the current COVID-19 crisis. We are pleased to share some of our Buckingham CARES actions and highlight the organizations we are assisting at this time.
Buckingham Foundation made its first international grant to Challenging Heights, a Ghana, Africa based non-profit, whose mission is the recovery of missing children and the abolishment of childhood slavery. Buckingham Foundation’s grant was used to construct and maintain the Buckingham House, which will help increase the capacity from 65 children annually rescued and rehabilitated to 110.
