Buckingham Foundation works to initiate and implement positive change in communities tied to Buckingham Companies. We strive to make a difference where our employees work, our residents live and in the communities we build.
An essential component of corporate giving, especially during a challenging year like 2020, proved to be growing employee engagement in philanthropy, volunteerism, and community involvement. To do this, community-minded employers retooled their approach to find meaningful ways to aid in the crisis while helping their staff safely donate their time, talent, and treasure.
Ashley Parker of Buckingham Companies has been selected as a member of the inaugural class of the Mutz Philanthropic Leadership Institute. Launched by Indiana Philanthropy Alliance in 2021, the Mutz Institute provides a leadership training experience to skill-up professionals serving in board and executive roles at foundations, corporations and social impact organizations across Indiana.
2019 was another busy year for Buckingham Foundation! From our QPR training in the first quarter to our annual Day of Service at the end of the year, our Buckingham team members were hard at work giving back to the communities that Buckingham Companies has a presence in. Buckingham Foundation and Kimpton Aertson Hotel announce a double benefit program to support those effected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Nashville. The first benefit of these relief efforts offers complimentary hotel rooms at Midtown’s Kimpton Aertson Hotel, mere steps from the Vanderbilt Medical Campus, for medical workers and first responders. Step two involves a partnership with Nashville Food Project to turn Henley, the award-winning modern American brasserie, into a satellite kitchen to provide daily meals to local communities experiencing food insecurity.
